In your group, you will be considering the cultural merit of the various works of literature we have studied in class in light of their historical contexts. Your job will be to make a case for the removal and replacement of a work of literature from a particular period we have studied, based on the work’s historical relevance, controversial nature, and resonance in today’s current society.
Your product will be protest literature demanding immediate, specific changes to the English 11 curriculum based on your findings that our current literature selections are less ideal than specific other selections.
