Welcome Core Comm. students. You’ll find information that is specific to what we are doing in class at edmodo. Directions for getting connected with edmodo are below.
We will also use our school’s googledocs suite of online applications for independent and collaborative activities.
You’ll find Mr. Adams’s links online, but you may want to skip straight to his Core Comm. links.
Remember, appropriateness is a key ingredient in effective communication. When you participate in our class’s online tools, you must follow the same rules and expectations as you would follow in class.
Edmodo links
Each Core Comm. class uses Edmodo, a web2.0 application (like facebook for school) that facilitates posting assignments, keeping a calendar, and communication between students and teachers. Edmodo interactions are password protected, except for those that are added to the “public” page for each group. Here are the links to each class’s public page.
Getting Started on Edmodo
- Go to edmodo.com.
- Click on student in the top right corner.
- Enter the group code that I give you in class.
- Complete the rest of the form and click submit.
